Kevyn Aucoin Concealer and Brow Pencil
Have you checked out any of the Kevyn Aucoin products? I am really liking the concealer and brow pencil in brunette. I've never been one to wear a lot of makeup but I've been schooled by my Partner in Pretty Shana Janelle and now I get it lol. Shana and I often have makeup consultations being as though I totally look up to her as a makeup artist and the girl knows her stuff. So I asked her about a concealer...what's the best to use...how to properly apply it...what powder to use to set it...and she asked had I tried the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer. So luckily the Spalon she works at (Celadon in downtown DC) sells it! *insert hearts and smiles* This concealer is amazing! Not only did it brighten up my under eye area...I use it to shape my brows and act as a highlight. The product is very creamy, easy to work with, and a little (and I mean very little) goes a long...long way. The retail price is about $45-$48 depending on where you purchase.
Now...lets talk brows. I've been on a serious hunt for the right brow product. I have a decent brow shape but I wanted something to define them a little more. So Shana showed me what she now uses. I love this brow pencil! It's not extremely heavy like some other pencils I've tried and no need to be light handed with it. Also, the pencil lead itself is very small. So small you can draw individual hairs with it. This pencil retails for about $25. Yup...I'm in love again!
This first collage of pics was taken prior to getting the brow pencil and skin enhancer...and the second collage is after getting my goodies :)

Maybelline Vivid Lipsticks
Have you seen these in your local drugstore? Please check them out! As you know the Partners in Pretty do a #prettypout tag on Instagram with a different brand each week. And this week was Maybelline week. So I'd heard of these vivid lippies but could never find them. I finally got my hands on two...Hot Plum and Vivid Rose. Gorgeous!!! (The pics do them no justice) Now I've got to get my hands on a few more that I have been eyeing. What colors of these vivid lipsticks do you have? And are you participating in the #prettypout on IG?
Partners in Pretty/Girl Talk Favorite Drug Store Products
Partners In Pretty is teaming up with Girl Talk:A Conference for Young Ladies for their health and beauty week. You can join in on the conversation via Facebook www.facebook.com/girltalkdc and https://www.facebook.com/PartnersinPretty, Twitter #girltalk2013 and #partnersinpretty and Instagram @PartnersInPretty.
So in celebration of health and beauty week, I decided to share with all of you my favorite drug store beauty products. These products are very reasonably priced and also offer good quality. Many of these products are also known for having great dupes for some of the higher end lines. So here are my favorite drugstore beauty products...what are some of your favorite drugstore beauty products?
Wet n' Wild MegaLast lipsticks. This collection has a great array of colors...they're super inexpensive ($1.99 @ CVS) And the possibilities are endless! Take a look at how some of us rocked Stoplight Red (919D) Click here for my previous post on these lippies.

Another one of my favorite drugstore beauty products are the Milani blushes. My all-time favorite Milani blushe is Mai Tai. It gives my cheek just the right amount of rosey-ness (if that's a word lol)
My next beauty products are three mascaras that I am totally in love with. I'm all for mascaras that give the appearance of false lashes...becuase I haven't quite gotten the hang of applying lashes yet. First is Rimmel London's Day 2 Night mascara. The lengthening side...love it...and the volume side gives the right amount of oomph to your lashes.
The second mascara is Maybelline's Great Lash Waterproof Mascara. Although I use this mascara with the volumizing side of the Rimmel London one...the way this mascara separates and makes your lashes look natural is awesome!
The last mascara is one that I found at my local Dollar Tree. (Check out your stores to see if you can get this mascara for a really reasonable price.) Almay's 1 Coat Dial-up Mascara. Now this is my mascara of choice when I am headed out on the town. I love how this mascara gives you the option of a lot or a little bit of volume. I love how the brush allows you to lengthen your lashes to almost falsie status.
Please do not judge me for this one...and I do not recommend using them on clients...but...
Baby wipes are great for removing makeup! And even great to use for cleaning your brushes! I prefer Pampers Baby wipes. They are a little thicker than some others and a little more durable. But yes...baby wipes :)
Speaking of brushes...be sure to check sites like Coastal Scents and BH Cosmetics for their sales!
I got this brush set on sale on time from Coastal Scents for $17.50! And they are some really nice brushes. I was shocked when I started using them and they have yet to fail me.
Another inexpensive company to get brushes from is ELF (Eyes Lips Face). Their Studio Brushes are great for everyday use and you can find them in Target!
Check out my Partner in Pretty Naima's video showing you more great drug store beauty products.

Same Shade...Different Ways
Think that you can't rock that bright red lippie??? HA! Think again! My Partners In Pretty are all different shades of beautiful...and this past Monday we began our Wet N' Wild lippie week on instagram with none other than the MegaLast lipstick in Stoplight Red (911D). Take a look at how we each wore this lippie in a way that works for us. We were destined to stop traffic with this lip lol. And although I was one of those who thought I couldn't rock a red lip...I made it work for me. Try it out...step out of your comfort zone...pair it with another lipstick...or a lip liner. But at least try it and see if you can make it work! Post your pics on IG using the #prettypout tag and be on the look out for next weeks lipstick tag!
